Accessories delivery
We ship accessories Monday - Friday and aim to dispatch all orders within 2 days of receiving them. Free shipping orders are sent with Royal Mail and for bulky items, we may use DPD (at no extra cost).
Bikes delivery
In stock bikes are usually shipped within 14 days of you ordering as they undergo a Pre Delivery Inspection before dispatch. Bikes are delivered by DPD who provide a delivery window via text message on the day. Delivery of electric cargo bikes costs £40. This service is available to all mainland UK postcodes. Click and collect for electric cargo bikes is free.
Click & Collect
We can arrange for all items to be collected from store. For items other than bikes this usually takes 2 - 4 working days. Bikes can take up to 14 working days to be available. We’ll let you know when items are ready for collection. Please bring a form of ID and a bank card with you when you pick up your order.
Returns
We accept returns on orders up to 14 days after the items arrive with you. All accessory returns should be in saleable condition and be sent to our Hackney address with a note which has your name and order number on it. Refunds are processed within five working days.
International Shipping
International delivery charges are estimates and are subject to change. Please contact us for more information. Please note that international accessory deliveries will be handled via Royal Mail and sent ‘Delivered Duties Unpaid’ (DDU). You may have to pay import VAT (and customs duties, if payable) as well as a handling fee.
Product Description
The Faro first came to light (ba dum tish!) via a Kickstarter campaign in 2020 and as urban cycling experts, we've kept a close eye on them ever since. Choosing a bicycle helmet is a case of balancing safety, comfort, style and price and Unit 1, with the Faro, is aiming to balance those attributes carefully to manufacture something that delivers safety and visibility in a stylish package.
Safety then? The Faro has powerful front and rear lights to increase visibility when riding. And here's the exciting bit, under a tactile, weatherproof fabric on the helmet rear sits a run of 46 RGB LED lights. These fully customisable, animated lights can display turning signals, a brake light when slowing or just an extra rear tail light. Settings can be adjusted in a trice with the accompanying smartphone app. The app also hosts an incident detection system that will send an SOS alert with a GPS location. This version of the Faro also includes the MIPS safety system which aims to reduce injury in the event of an impact.
To comfort. The Faro is available in three sizes and there's an adjustable dial at the back to help you find some cranium cosy-ness. The helmet is secured with a quick-clasping magnetic buckle. When riding, air is channelled into the helmet via intakes; top and rear vents allow heat to escape.
Now to style. The Faro has the silhouette of an urban cycle helmet with a minuscule peak to the front. It's available in four colourways.
