ARCC Abington Electric Bike
The ARCC Abington Electric Bike is a sleek e-bike ready for any journey. The Abington's flowing lines are crafted from custom-drawn Reynolds Technology steel tubing and hand brazed in the UK, whilst the e²-pod Intelligent Drive System has been designed by ARCC to provide unique intelligent bike power.
Manufactured in Cambridge, the ARCC Abington is a sleek town bike designed in collaboration with award winning frame builder Toby Gallagher. It combines the elegance and poise of a bygone era with state-of-the-art engineering at ARCC's Cambridgeshire headquarters.
Machined stainless steel dropouts allow for a variety of drivetrain options and combine with large 650b x 38 tyres to provide a wonderfully comfortable, yet responsive ride. Disc brakes provide excellent stopping power and there are mounts for a rack and mudguards, making it ideal for riding all year round, luggage and no luggage. The ARCC Abington Electric is topped off with a Brooks Cambium C19 saddle.
This electric version of the ARCC Abington features the e²-pod Intelligent Drive System. It combines variable power levels with automatic hill/gradient compensation which allows commuting cyclists to choose the amount of effort both they and the motor provides; automatically compensates for hills and gradients; and provides ‘launch control’, for safety when moving away from lights and crossings in heavy traffic.
The e²-pod uses an industry-standard 4.0 Ah, 6.0 Ah or 9.0 Ah Bosch battery, which are readily available from stores and online and have a range of up to 75km dependant on the battery used. When the battery is removed, the Rosemont reverts to its standard configuration and can be used as a regular bike.
