Our take on the Pashley Briton Urban Bike
  1. Hub Gears
  2. Comfort
  3. Made in the UK
  4. Equipped

Once you have purchased your new bike from us, it will be put into the build queue for one of our workshops. Your bike will be built and will undergo a Pre Delivery Inspection (PDI) by one of our expert mechanics. A PDI is a checklist that the mechanic follows to confirm that all parts of your new bike are up to our high standards.

Next, your bike will be prepared for shipping. Padding is used on all the necessary areas and your bike is loaded into a sturdy cardboard bike box. All the necessary paperwork and accessories will be packed inside too. Most of our cardboard and packaging are recycled from incoming deliveries. Bikes are usually delivered by DPD within the UK.

In order to package your bike safely, you will need to do a small amount of assembly when it arrives. It can vary from bike to bike, but usually you’ll need to: fit the front wheel, install the handlebars and fit the pedals. Please note that not all bikes come with pedals - please check the specification on each bike, we’ll include it on there.

Then, use the tables below to find the frame size you will need.

Product Description

The Briton takes inspiration from Pashley's flagship Roadster bicycle, but with a lighter specification and a slightly more relaxed riding style. The classic chainguard and mudguards keep you clean and looking your best, whilst the reliable hub brakes and gears are effective no matter what the weather conditions.

Comfort is enhanced by the inclusion of soft cork grips and a hand-made sprung Brooks aged leather saddle - made only thirty miles from Pashley's factory - which gradually shapes to your form to become a truly customised and supportive seat. A front dynamo headlamp and rear LED light keeps you visible at night, and a sturdy ‘kick-down’ propstand allows you to stand your bicycle upright with ease.

It is a bicycle with real character, perfect as a companion for your commute to work, a weekend jaunt into the countryside, or a quick spin to your local cafe. The term ‘Briton’ has roots in the iron age yet reflects a modern and inclusive culture and firmly flies the flag for Pashley's traditional craftsmanship and manufacturing in Shakespeare's Stratford-upon-Avon.
