Elmer, or Elmer by Swany to give them their full title has been knocking about since the late 1890s. Elmer gloves are riginally an American brand deeply rooted in the heart of the US glove-making industry - the deer featured in the Elmer logo is a nod to the historic use of deer leather. Elmer gloves are still constructed to the high level of craftsmanship that founder Elmer Little was renowned for. The brand now has Japanese owners and designers.
