Once you have purchased your new bike from us, it will be put into the build queue for one of our workshops. Your bike will be built and will undergo a Pre Delivery Inspection (PDI) by one of our expert mechanics. A PDI is a checklist that the mechanic follows to confirm that all parts of your new bike are up to our high standards.

Next, your bike will be prepared for shipping. Padding is used on all the necessary areas and your bike is loaded into a sturdy cardboard bike box. All the necessary paperwork and accessories will be packed inside too. Most of our cardboard and packaging are recycled from incoming deliveries. Bikes are usually delivered by DPD within the UK.

In order to package your bike safely, you will need to do a small amount of assembly when it arrives. It can vary from bike to bike, but usually you’ll need to: fit the front wheel, install the handlebars and fit the pedals. Please note that not all bikes come with pedals - please check the specification on each bike, we’ll include it on there.

Product Description

A 250w Bafang motor located in the bike's rear wheel is powered by a Samsung battery neatly hidden away in the seatpost of the bike. Siting the battery here not only keeps the bike looking svelte but as a secondary benefit creates an easy USB charging point for your favourite device just below the saddle. The seatpost/battery is removable too so you can charge the battery away from the bike if you like and speaking of charging, Carbo quote a 3.5 hour recharge time for the battery. On the handlebar is a low profile screen which displays riding speed, distance and allows you to cycle through the e-bike's 5 power modes.

With the moniker, "The World's Lightest Electric Bike" you'd expect the Model X to be light. Weighing in at just 13.3kg, the bike is easily lifted into a bike store, garage, communal hallway or up some stairs. The bike's weight is predominately due to the Japanese carbon fibre used in the bike's construction.

Carbo hasn't forgone any practicalities when designing the bike either. The Model X has integrated front and rear lights, whilst mudguards and a rear luggage rack are available too. The Carbo Model X Folding Electric bike uses a carbon belt opposed to a traditional bicycle chain - a sensible choice if you're after a low-maintenance bike that doesn't need hours of cleaning and maintenance. Completing the bike's specification is a set of hydraulic disc brakes and Schwalbe 20" tyres.

The Model X will fold in as little as 10 seconds, yet another feather in this bike's cap. Just push the seatpost down, fold the handlebar, pull the latch on the frame and it's done. Folded, the bike's dimensions are 80cm x 60cm x 33cm.

The Carbo Model X Folding Electric bike is available in one size with the adjustable seatpost and handelbar offering plenty of scope for different rider heights. Carbo's suggested sizing is 4" 10' to 6" 5'. A 3-year warranty is offered by Carbo on the bike's frame, a limited 2-year warranty on other components and a 1-year warranty on the bike's battery.
