Velorution
The Vitruvian Cyclist Mug
LIMITED EDITION: This design is only available during August 2026. After that it goes into the Velorution vault and may never come back.
Leonardo da Vinci's Vitruvian Man is one of the most famous drawings in the world — a man, arms outstretched, perfectly proportioned inside a circle. Da Vinci was obsessed with the idea that the human body, at its best, works in complete harmony with itself.
Put a bike under that man, and you've more or less got cycling in one image. The wheel, the chain, the legs — nothing wasted, every part doing its job so the whole thing moves. Man and machine, in proportion.
That's Velorution in a nutshell too. No wasted effort, everything pulling in the same direction, one pedal stroke at a time.
- Ceramic 11oz / 325ml mug
- Dishwasher and microwave safe
- Product safety tests conducted by independent third-party laboratories

About Velorution
For nearly twenty years, Velorution was a chain of much-loved London bike shops — the kind of places you'd pop into for a saddle and leave an hour later, mid-conversation. In 2023, after two cars crashed into two of our shops in a single month, it all came to an end.
I bought the name out of administration and I'm rebuilding Velorution as something new: honest stories about city cycling, gear genuinely worth recommending, and a bit of beauty in your inbox every week. Here's the full story.
Urban cycling news, honest stories, and a front-row seat as we rebuild Velorution from scratch. Free, every week.
