An Almighty Underdog Story

I love nothing more than getting into a state of flow — that narrow space between something being hard and you being just about capable of it, where everything else goes quiet and you just move.

I was riding a wave to start this week: Velorution has been shortlisted for Cycling Media of the Year at the 2026 BikeBiz Awards. Look at the rest of that list — Epic Road Rides, The Ride Companion, MBR, Cycling UK Magazine, Escape Collective, For the Love of Cycling. Established publishers, big-budget titles, funded outfits with actual teams. And somehow, us. One fella in his spare room with a laptop and a printer, rebuilding a name that went under two years ago.
