We know that buying your dream bike or electric bike isn't a snap decision - that's why we offer free test rides in each of our four London bike shops.

Book Now

Once you have purchased your new bike from us, it will be put into the build queue for one of our workshops. Your bike will be built and will undergo a Pre Delivery Inspection (PDI) by one of our expert mechanics. A PDI is a checklist that the mechanic follows to confirm that all parts of your new bike are up to our high standards.

Next, your bike will be prepared for shipping. Padding is used on all the necessary areas and your bike is loaded into a sturdy cardboard bike box. All the necessary paperwork and accessories will be packed inside too. Most of our cardboard and packaging are recycled from incoming deliveries. Bikes are usually delivered by DPD within the UK.

In order to package your bike safely, you will need to do a small amount of assembly when it arrives. It can vary from bike to bike, but usually you’ll need to: fit the front wheel, install the handlebars and fit the pedals. Please note that not all bikes come with pedals - please check the specification on each bike, we’ll include it on there.

Product Description

Manufactured in Cambridge, the ARCC Abington is a sleek town bike designed in collaboration with award winning frame builder Toby Gallagher. It combines the elegance and poise of a bygone era with state-of-the-art engineering at ARCC's Cambridgeshire headquarters.

Machined stainless steel dropouts allow for a variety of drivetrain options and combine with large 650b x 38 tyres to provide a wonderfully comfortable, yet responsive ride. Disc brakes provide excellent stopping power and there are mounts for a rack and mudguards, making it ideal for riding all year round, luggage and no luggage. The ARCC Abington Electric is topped off with a Brooks Cambium C19 saddle.

This electric version of the ARCC Abington features the ARCC Intelligent Drive Pod. It combines variable power levels with automatic hill/gradient compensation which allows commuting cyclists to choose the amount of effort both they and the motor provides; automatically compensates for hills and gradients; and provides ‘launch control’, for safety when moving away from lights and crossings in heavy traffic.

The e²-pod uses an industry-standard 4.0 Ah or 6.0 Ah Bosch battery, which are readily available from stores and online and have a range of up to 75km dependant on the battery used. When the battery is removed, the Abington reverts to its standard configuration and can be used as a regular bike.
